Funeral Butterflies is a Husband and Wife team that got involved with Monarch Butterflies over twelve years ago. We thought that it would be nice to create a "butterfly garden". Little did we know that the entire process of watching butterflies develop from an egg into a caterpillar, into a chrysalis, and then finally into a Majestic butterfly, would completely enchant us. As a matter of fact, in the beginning we had a hard time releasing our "little butterflies ". Since those early days we have developed into an accomplished butterfly retailer. Our beautiful and healthy Monarch butterflies have been released by thousands of people at Weddings, Quinceaneras, Memorials, Funerals and Special Events all over the country. With over five years of retail butterfly release experience, Mr. Butterflies is a leader in the butterfly release industry.

Recently Mr. Butterflies sponsored the creation of a buttery garden at the South Florida Science Museum in West Palm Beach. This was our way of reaching out and sharing the butterfly experience with our community.

We have supplied thousands of Butterflies for release to Hospice Memorials and Events.

Our Butterfly Farm is located near West Palm Beach Florida. Here, the tropical sunshine enables us to grow milkweed and raise beautiful Monarch Butterflies year round. We have USDA permits to ship our Butterflies to all states EAST of the Continental Divide.

We are proud members of the IBBA, International Butterfly Breeders Association. Our Membership with the IBBA  has given us the opportunity to learn state-of-the-art techniques in Butterfly Breeding and the opportunity to develop relationships with other farmers . This enables us to guarantee that each and every order can be filled. The IBBA is an international, nonprofit trade association, promoting high standards of ethics, competence and professionalism in the breeding of quality Lepidoptera (butterflies) for all purposes. They accomplish this by supporting  research, grower education, market development and habitat conservation and restoration. Through the IBBA, we have had the opportunity to meet, learn from, and listen to many expert Lepidopterists (butterfly experts) and Entomologists. We are licensed by the state of Florida and only ship to states that we have USDA permits to ship to. Our butterflies are hand raised and examined for disease prior to shipping. We want our customers to release healthy and happy butterflies while protecting our environment!
